HOMEY AT LAST
We didn't get as much done Friday as I had hoped, but we didn't get out of bed until midmorning so.... Hubby got the lights working everywhere but didn't get the vent fans installed yet or the new plug for my wall fountain in the dining room. He plans to do them today. I haven't done any more painting but I finally got all the boxes in the main part of the house completely unpacked and put away. Taadaa!

Living Room
New Kitchen Shelves
I'll take more pictures of the kitchen next week. Now I'm off to help Moma with her hair.

Ohhh the house is looking excellent Susan!! Great job you two!!! Have fun with your mom!
Your home is lovely! I am envious, I have a style all my own that I like to call "yard sale, family style"! MissMatched couches, that have to survive my toddlers, and husband...If I can just live with it another five years, hubby and I have promised ourselves some real, matching nice furniture! LOL
You have a very good eye for color and coordinating textures. I can't wait to see the rest of your home!
Well Done
so, how did you get that pic of the table??? were you on a ladder? very nice but even more that you are feeling more at home where you are.....a blessed feeling indeed. enjoy the weekend!! melinda
I stood on a chair.
Totally adorable!!! I love the color on the dining room walls!!
LOVE the top of your blog! Wow!
And LOVE your little house! That yellow looks to be about what I have in my kitchen...beautiful work!
YOur home and your xanga are quite homy and cozy.
your house is...gorgeous! really, really beautiful! i love the colors you used throughout it.
Looking Great!
It looks beautiful, Susan! I know you're excited to have your own place and to be able to decorate finally.
Blessings,
Paula
Oh I LOVE everything! No surprise your dining room and my laundry room are the same color schemes, as well as us both having tassle lampshades LOL
You're done a great job! Was that window in the DR always arched or did you guys put that in? i love it!
Happy Sunday!
Love, RayRay
ps is that your shed out that window?
That is the garden shed out the window where the kitties live. And no the dining room window was not always an arch. We replaced all the old windows that we didn't remove altogether and this was my one of the two architectural details I insisted upon when we scaled back on the intial remodel plans. I love eyebrow arches. It took hubby 3-4 times as long to finish this window as any of the others, but I think it just makes the room.
looks good
Hi Suzy,
Looks just beautiful very cozy.
Love ya, Darlena
LOVELY!!!!!!
All you need now is fresh flowers. Fresh flowers always make the house look like home. They also lift the spirits. You have done a beautiful job making this fixer-upper a home. I'm so proud of you and your abilities. Take a minute and brew some tea, sit and drink it and pat yourself on your back for me. It is truly your home. Good for you, etc. I just keep writing these things cause I'm so happy for the two of you. Enjoy your son and the holidays. The next blessing is you don't have to clean out your closets before you have company!!! You've already done that!!! Many times. Love you girl. a
