  • VALENTINE MODE

    I spent most of Thursday in the kitchen and or at my desk making valentines, heart shaped cookies, and fudge.  This is the most creative I've been in quite awhile. Here is a sample of my handiwork.

    I found some red toile blank note cards that I was able to embellish and then personalize for the ladies. The fudge is my treat to share and I made the cookies for the kids Valentines and wrapped them in celophane with heart smiley faces on it. Now to pack my lunch and head out the door to board meeting.

    I'm going to finish up my granddaughter's Valentine dress for Sunday.  I can't wait to see her in it!

  • Dear Susan,

    I wish you a beautiful day; however, mine is most likely going to consist of taking one of my beloved cats in to be put to sleep;

    Even since Dec. 22nd, we've had her in and out of the Vet and she's only getting worse;

    They don't know for sure what's wrong with her, but there's definitely something very wrong; After the first 2 visits at the Vet, she was seeming to get better, but the last time I took her in and they got her 'stable' she's not doing better this time.

    Please pray for me and my beloved Nikki as this is most likely the best and most humane thing to do ......for her.....not for me, but for her.

  • @sharonhoskins - I understand. Beloved pets become our second children, especially to us empty nesters. Praying for you as you do waht is best for Nikki. I've had to do that twice in my lifetime and it doesn't get any easier.

  • Are you sure you aren't my sister?  Wish you lived closer so that we could be creative together!  I haven't been creative in soooo long....You did great and what Fun you had!  THanks for sharing.  I miss you!

  • @AJGriffith - Mmmm... we're both adopted... could be!   I miss you too! And it felt soooo good to be creative again.
