  • GOTTA LOVE CRAIGSLIST

Gotta love Craigslist!  Yesterday I picked up a FREE thornless cactus I found there, that is at least 3 times bigger than any of the ones I planted. Hubby helped me set it out last night.  So now I  have it, Agave, Spanish Bayonet, Social Garlic, Stonecrop and Red Sedum in my succulent garden out by the mailbox.

It's gonna be another scortcher and our AC part isn't in yet, so better get my exercising done before it heats up.

  • Yay!  We love Craigslist, too!  I can't wait for pics of this succulent garden!!

  • @pettybunch - I posted one over the weekend. It doesn't look lilke much yet. Things need to GROW!

  • @suezzzque - Okay, I swear I don't remember seeing that photo - and I was the first to comment on that day!!!  Wow, I do need a rest!!!!!

  • free is wonderful. i've been collecting free daffodils from various places this spring.

i would love to have a succulent garden, but am unsure of how to get started. my stuff usually ends up too wet!

  • @ehrinn_l - Succulents are great for arid places like out here in windy West Texas, New Mexico and Arizona because they only need small amounts of water to keep going. Check with your county extension office to see if where you live is too wet.. BTW, all cactus are succulents, but not all succulents are cactus.

  • @pettybunch - I think I posted and inserted the picture later. You are not nearly so daft as you imagine.

  • @suezzzque - That is comforting to know!!

  • A/C isn't hooked up at the shop so it's hot in my office.  Will be nice to be home where it is on!!!

  • We have many succulents out on our decks, easy to grow and don't take much water...looking forward to seeing how yours look in a couple years...did you take a before picture?

  • @broncomom - Remember the tumbleweed snowman? That is where I put the succulent garden.

  • what is craiglist?

your garden is looking cute.  i like the 2009.  looks like it fits right in with west texas.

i want to go get a hibiscus and a mandevilla.  my iris are blooming and are real pretty.   the trick is to keep the kids from pulling the flowers.

ken was up all night night with legs cramps.,  i am trying to get him to go to the dr. to find out what he is missing.  he eats bananas.  i think the blockages in his legs may be getting worse but i don't want to scare him.  this is getting to be an every night thing.

got pat buried thursday.  it is a shame that i know more about her than her own kids.

  • @Diane_B - Craigslist is free online want ads. http://www.craigslist.com
