  • MOWING MARATHON

Friday is the day I mow for exercise. That way I have lots of extra calories to use when we take the inlaws out for our Friday night supper date. When we weren't getting any rain it took me an hour to mow the part of our acreage we have fenced in and have been watering.

Now that we have started getting some thunderstorms everything is greening up. I can't wait to see what kind of wildflowers bloom out front, but that also means more mowing. Today I decided to tackle the front and side of our place along the road and fence... you know.. the part people see.   I've been mowing since hubby left for work this morning and am just now done outside the fence. Tonight I should be able to eat anything I want!

My goal is to finish the inside of the yard and get the dog and me bathed before lunchtime. Maybe we'll have a late lunch!

  • I think that means you are amazing!  I have only mowed a couple of times in my whole life.  I was definitely the "girly-girl" in my household growing up, plus had 3 brothers.  Bill has always loved mowing, as does our son, so I never had to.  I thought about learning to use the riding mower, but Bill often mows to unwind, so I haven't had the chance!

Go ahead - have dessert tonight!!!!!

  • Well, I got through mowing at least! Now for the baths

  • This year we have given ourselves the luxury of hiring the mowing for MANY reasons.  This week it rained on the day they come so I'm sure that I will need to mow at some point, don't know when and it's not even because I'm out golfing or going to the lake!!!

  • I absolutely cannot stand yardwork...definitely a job for hubby...When he was gone, I paid someone to do it.  I don't even have the motivation to plant flowers in my flower beds.

  • see my blog.

did they get the bathroom done?
