  • BIOPSY RESULTS

    Ken

My oldest brother got his biopsy results back and it confirmed that he has Hodgkin's Lymphoma. I think we are all in shock. At least his oldest is home from overseas; it would be even harder to deal with that kind of news so far from home. I'm told the next step is a visit to the oncologist and probably radiation.

Please put him on your prayer list and visit my SiL's blog for more detailed updates.

  • Oh, my, Susan.  Thanks for letting us know so that we can pray!

  • I am so sorry, Susan.  I will be praying for your entire family.  God is still the Great Physician!

  • I am praying for you all right now -- I am so sorry and I trust God to bring you all wisdom and comfort and peace as your brother takes the next steps.

  • So sorry.

  • we are praying...and i would recommend to check into http://www.clinicaltrials.gov  because they will let you know if he fits into a clinical trial....age, health history, sex..are all a part of what is looked at.  blessings dear one..

  • I know this must not be the news that you wanted to hear.  I know I didn't want to hear this.  I do know that God is faithful, He is the Greatest Healer ever and He is also the one who can give comfort to him, his wife and the rest of his family.

  • oh, i'm sorry.

  • Called today and got Ken some sleeping pills.  He hasn't slept more than 2 or 3 hours a night since before June 13th.  Maybe tonight he will rest.  Still waiting for a call to see when we will see the cancer dr..  Waiting is hard.

All in all he is doing pretty good.  He is scared but so are all of us.  We will take one day at a time and try to keep positive thoughts.  Meanwhile we will be doing a lot of praying.

  • Don't see the cancer dr. until the 28th.  I called this morning to get his follow up appt. which we all completely spaced.  Ken thought about it about 10 Friday night.  He went to bed early on the 4th.  He watched some of the fireworks.  The cookout was a success.  Ended up wtih way too much food.  Had lots of fireworks.  It rained for a few minutes which was probably good since we didn't want a fire. Ms. Pat's daughter even came over and watched.

I didn't sleep at all Sat. night but I sure slept last nght.

Not sure what Steve has planned for this week.

Sherri and family have a camping trip with the cub scouts this wekend.

Ari and Tyler start 2 weeks of swim lessons today.

Guess I better get ready.  Steve wants to go to breakfast.

    Have a good day.
